The Research Cell of Dnyan Ganga Education Trust’s Degree College of Arts, Commerce & Science is headed by coordinator Asst. Prof. Shubha Shah .Research is a pursuit integral to any society.Our college is committed to providing a platform and cultivating meaningful research environment to the teachers and students .The committee provides opportunities to teachers to write research papers and upgrade and hone their research skills .The committee organizes research workshops ,seminars and encourages students for Avishkar Competition organized by Mumbai University every year .
Avishkar Research Convention is the platform for development of research culture and scientific temper among the students, scholars and teachers from under-graduate to doctoral level. It will also help to develop skill, review new dimensions of explored areas of knowledge as well as the unexplored areas of enquiry.
There will be two rounds for the convention
1)Selection Round (District/Zone Level)
2) Final Round (University Level)
Categories and Levels Students of the University of Mumbai are allowed to participate in any of the following category / discipline irrespective of their own discipline / courseCategories / Disciplines Category 1: Humanities, Languages and Fine Arts Category 2: Commerce, Management and Law Category 3: Pure Sciences Category 4: Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Category 5: Engineering and Technology Category 6: Medicine and Pharmacy
Awards and Honours § Selection Round Certificate of Participation Every participant and his/her mentor will receive the e-Certificate of Participation. Certificate of Merit The participants and their mentors whose research proposals are qualified for Final Round will receive the e-Certificate of Merit. Zonal / District Championship Certificate for Zonal / District Championship will be given to the College / Recognized Institute / University Department whose maximum research proposals are qualified from the particular Zone / District for Final Round. § Final Round Certificate of Participation Every participant and his/her mentor will receive the e-Certificate of Participation. Certificate of Merit The participants and their mentors whose research proposals secured First Rank, Second Rank, Third Rank and Consolation shall receive the e-Certificate of Merit.
The objectives of having a Research Cell for students :
- To create a research environment for facilitating research activities in the college.
- To inculcate research skills and to develop interest and awareness about research among students.
- To provide basic infrastructure required for research work..
- To encourage and motivate students to take part in research activities like “Avishkar”
- To organize workshop/seminar and conferences related to research.
- To coordinate and solve the research related issues of faculty and students.
Our esteemed College Dnyan Ganga Education Trust Degree College of Arts,Commerce & Science is participating in the Avishkar research Convention since the last 5 years and getting accolades for the college .Last year the college got 11 th place in entire Maharashtra .Enthusiastic researcher students with a zeal and fervour for research are given the fantastic opportunity to participate in Avishkar Research Convention under the able guidance and mentorship of Asst.
